Daniel M. Blau Law Recognized by Best Law Firms 2022

We are pleased to announce that Daniel M. Blau Law has been recognized by U.S. News/Best Lawyers in America’s Best Law Firms as a Raleigh Metropolitan Tier 2 Appellate Practice and as a Tier 3 Criminal Defense: General Practice firm for 2022.

Dan is a constitutional advocate and criminal defense attorney. His practice focuses on criminal appeals and trial defense in serious felony cases. He holds an undergraduate degree from Duke University, and his Juris Doctor from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he graduated with honors in 2007. He is a member of the American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina since 2005, is a career-long member of the North Carolina Bar Association, and its Constitutional Rights and Responsibilities, Criminal Law, and Appellate Law Sections. He has written and presented extensively on issues of legal ethics for defense lawyers. He is an AV Preeminent Peer Rated Lawyer by Martindale Hubbell and is recognized by Best Lawyers in America’s Appellate Practice Section and Criminal Defense: General Practice Section since 2021.

For more than a decade, Dan Blau has handled thousands of felony, misdemeanor, and criminal traffic charges in North Carolina’s state and federal courts, along with dozens of state and federal appellate and post-conviction matters. Though Dan focuses a significant portion of his practice on the meticulous issues of state and federal appeals, the foundation of his law practice surrounds complex criminal defense matters, including drug offenses, sex crimes, violent crimes, and firearms and weapons violations.
