EMILY C. MAGGIO

EMILY MAGGIO is an associate at Blau | Hynson whose practice focuses on criminal appeals and post-conviction litigation. A cum laude graduate of Elon University School of Law, Emily sharpened her advocacy as an Elon Law Review Online Editor, Moot Court Board member, and Order of the Barristers inductee. 

Before entering private practice, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Hon. Michael Stading of the North Carolina Court of Appeals and completed chambers placements with the North Carolina Supreme Court and the Suffolk County (NY) Supreme Court. Emily’s academic foundation includes a B.A. in Sociology (Crime & Deviance) with a History minor from Auburn University, training that adds psychological and historical perspective to her work with incarcerated individuals and their families.

Admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 2022, she also serves on the Indigent Criminal Appeals Roster and is active with the Wake County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.
